TIMELY & PRECISE CARE

When Extraction Is the Best Option for Your Smile

Saving natural teeth is always our priority, but timely extractions prevent widespread infection, severe pain, and crowding issues.

Removing Impacted Wisdom Teeth Prevents Future Complications

Impacted wisdom teeth can become trapped beneath the gums or grow at an angle, causing pain, infection, and damage to nearby teeth. Timely removal helps protect your oral health and prevent more serious complications.

Removing Severely Damaged Teeth Stops Infection & Pain

When a tooth is severely decayed or damaged and cannot be restored, extraction may be the safest option. Removing the affected tooth eliminates the source of infection and helps protect your surrounding teeth and gums.

Strategic Extraction Creates Space for a Healthier Smile

Severe crowding can make it difficult for teeth to align properly and may affect your bite and oral hygiene. In some cases, carefully planned extraction creates the space needed for successful orthodontic treatment.

Removing Unsalvageable Teeth Protects Your Oral Health

A severely fractured tooth may not be repairable with a filling, crown, or root canal. When saving the tooth is no longer possible, extraction can prevent infection and discomfort while preparing the area for a replacement.

Extraction Can Help Control Advanced Gum Disease

Advanced gum disease can severely weaken the bone and tissues supporting your teeth. When a tooth becomes too loose or damaged to save, extraction may help control infection and protect the health of the surrounding tissues.

FAQ

Common Questions

01 Is a tooth extraction procedure painful?

No, the procedure itself is completely painless. We use local anesthesia so you won’t feel pain during the treatment, only light pressure.

Initial healing usually takes 3 to 7 days. Most patients return to normal light activities within 24 to 48 hours by following our simple aftercare instructions.
Avoid using a straw, smoking, rinsing vigorously, or spitting for at least 24 hours. These actions can dislodge the blood clot and cause a painful condition called dry socket.
In many cases, a dental implant can be placed during the same visit (immediate implant). Otherwise, replacement usually happens after 2 to 4 months of proper healing.
